My name is Dawn Tucker, and I am from Vineyard, Utah. I have four kids, and I have four grandbabies. And for me, over the last few months . . . actually probably the last six months, my energy level's been going down more and more each day I've felt like. And I want to be that fun grandma. I want somebody that can play with my grandkids, that can get on the floor, that can get up. That I can chase after them. And as well as spending time with my kids, and doing family vacations, and things like that. That can sometimes be a little bit difficult. Making the decision to come here, I didn't really have any obstacles because I had a coordinator that had been experienced here. And she was able to speak to the care that you get here and set the expectations for me. But even with her setting those expectations for me they were far exceeded. So even as much as she talked to me about this, and how it was going to be it's been so much better than what I'd expected. What I've liked the most about this hospital is that the doctors spend time with you. They come in. They're not in a rush. They take the time to ensure that you understand everything that they're saying. And I haven't found any language barriers either, which was something that, you know, I was a little worried about coming here, but that hasn't been an issue at all. So the doctor that I met with here was Dr. Gonzalez, and he was amazing. He met and exceeded all my expectations, very thorough. Has visited me a few times to ensure that I have a clear understanding of everything that I need to do, and how to be successful after my surgery. So what I expect to gain from this bariatric surgery is a better quality of life for myself. To be able to play with my grandkids. To be able to do those things that I can't do now because I'm short of breath, or I'm just too tired. You know my family's my life. They're everything to me, and I want to be able to have all of these experiences with them. So for this, this is a life-changing surgery for me to make my life better, and to be able to fulfill my kid's and grandkid's lives as well. I will definitely be recommending the Oasis of Hope Hospital to my friends and family members that are interested in this bariatric surgery. I know that based on their experience from what they've seen in America coming here that they'll feel the same way as I do, and all of their expectations will be exceeded. It sets a higher standard for the care that we don't get at home.
